
Project Partners
The CV RWRP is being developed with support from and in collaboration with various community partners. The RWRP development will be led by Coachella Valley Water District, in partnership with Torres Martines Desert Cahuilla Indian Tribe and Pueblo Unido Community Development Corporation. The Leadership Council for Justice and Accountability, the Indio Water Authority, the Coachella Water Authority, the Desert Water Agency, Valley Sanitation District and Mission Springs Water District are all additional partners in this effort.
Coachella Valley Water District (CVWD)
CVWD is responsible for managing and providing water resources, including drinking water, irrigation, and stormwater management, to the Coachella Valley region in California.

Torres Martinez Desert Cahuilla Indian Tribe (TMDCI)
TMDCI is a federally recognized tribe located in Imperial and Riverside counties that have inhabited the Martinez Canyon since the early 1800s.
Pueblo Unido, CDC (PUCDC)
PUCDC is a (501)(c)(3) non-profit organization born from the initiative of community leaders with extensive experience and knowledge of these local issues and concerns in the Eastern Coachella Valley (ECV). PUCDC improves the quality of life for ECV rural communities, responding with community-driven solutions to critical needs for safe housing, safe drinking water, climate adaptations to build community resilience, environmental justice, and locally-owned economic development to raise families out of pervasive systemic poverty.
City of Coachella/Coachella Water Authority
Coachella Water Authority oversees the maintenance, operation, and treatment of water distribution and wastewater collection to ensure environmental compliance and reliable water services for the community.
Desert Water Agency
Desert Water Agency manages groundwater resources and provides reliable water services to residents in the western Coachella Valley, including Palm Springs and Cathedral City.
City of Indio/Indio Water Authority
Indio Water Authority is responsible for delivering safe and reliable water services to the residents, businesses, and visitors of the City of Indio.
Mission Springs Water District
Mission Springs Water District, serving Desert Hot Springs and surrounding areas, provides, protecting, and preserving water resources, and distributes high-quality water for the surrounding community.
Valley Sanitation District
Valley Sanitation District provides wastewater collection, treatment, and disposal services to ensure environmental protection and public health for the communities it serves in the Coachella Valley.
Leadership Council for Justice & Accountability
Leadership Council for Justice & Accountability works alongside the most impacted communities to advocate for sound policy and eradicate injustice, ensuring equal access to opportunities, regardless of wealth, race, income, or place.
